    First, what is a cult?  Have you ever been part of one?

If so were you born into it, or was it one you were actively seeking?

Perhaps it drew you in unaware?

Some defining aspects of Cults include:

• Shared vision or purpose that extends beyond the ego

• The promise of access to realms previously unattainable

• The acceptance of hardship as an inherent part of the path

• Specific, and focused passion (ritual, song, prayer, sacrifice)

• A power structure that includes at least one charismatic leader

• Commitment that runs deep, often fanatical

• Cults also tend to be marginalized; the word itself has a negative connotation.
   

The world is, and always has been, full of cults. A majority of these cults have involved sex in some way. In some cases sex is an integral part of the the cult. Some examples are the preservation of virginity until marriage for Catholics, and the overpowering desire that drives some people to fuck rock stars.

 

So to be clear A Sex Cult is just one of the of many sex cults in existence.

It definitely touches on many of traits listed above, but not all of them.

 

It isn’t what you expect, but it’s all of those things too...
